Vintage Cartier Tank Vermeil Must SM Quartz 5057001 - 20,5mm - 1978

The Cartier Tank Vermeil offered here was produced in 1978 and features the SM size model, also known as the small or lady-sized version, measuring 20.5mm in width. As one of the earlier 1970s examples, this piece is becoming increasingly uncommon, as most examples found online today date from the late 1980s to 1990s. The silver case with gold plating remains exceptionally well preserved, with only some very light fading visible on parts of the back case, naturally invisible while wearing. The watch features a beautiful champagne-coloured dial with blued hands, black Roman numeral hour markers, and the classic railroad minute track, completed by the blue ruby cabochon crown. Inside sits a Cartier quartz movement, which we had fully overhauled in May 2026 and now runs and functions excellently. We have paired the watch with a brown leather strap with a crocodile motif, made in France. Overall condition of this piece is simply magnificent.
