Vintage Omega Constellation Chronometer “Pie Pan” “Dog Leg” 168.005 - 34mm - 1966

This vintage Omega Constellation chronometer was produced in 1966. What makes this watch so sought after is its iconic case and dial design, featuring the well known dog leg lugs and the classic pie pan dial, both nicknames that are firmly established in the vintage watch world.

This particular example is slightly more uncommon. While most steel Constellation pie pan models feature dial accents that match the case color, this watch is fitted with rose golden accents on a white sunburst dial. This configuration is original to the watch and was produced in much smaller numbers compared to the more common variants with steel colored accents. The same color combination can also be found on solid 18 karat white gold case models, which further underlines the special character of this piece.

The white sunburst dial remains in beautiful condition and shows a warm and elegant contrast with the rose golden elements. We have chosen to pair this watch with a black top grain leather strap with a crocodile motif and a glossy finish, which complements the watch very well.

Inside the watch is the Omega caliber 561 automatic chronometer movement. This movement was fully serviced in January 2026 and currently runs and functions excellently, even within the chronometer standards.

Overall, this Omega Constellation is a magnificent collector’s item and an outstanding example of a vintage dress watch.
