Vintage Omega Genève Blue Patina Dial on Beads of Rice 166.0098 - 35mm - 1972
€1295.00

This vintage Omega Genève automatic, produced in 1972, features an exceptional dial that has aged into a striking blue patina. The original sunburst finish has faded into varying shades of blue, enhanced by loom plots that have partially faded at the hour markers. The result is a unique character I personally compare to the shifting colors of the sea—exactly the kind of individuality and uniqueness collectors value.
The stainless steel case measures 35 mm and houses the automatic caliber 1481 movement, which runs well. The quick-set push date, as commonly seen with this caliber, is non-functional, but the date advances correctly every 24 hours and can be set manually by cycling the hands.
This watch is fitted with its original Omega “Beads of Rice” bracelet, long enough to fit wrists from 14 to 19,5cm, making it suitable for both small and large sizes. The bracelet itself is highly sought after and worth several hundred euros on its own.
A genuine collector’s item, this Omega Genève combines rarity with wearability, making it equally appealing as a daily wearer or part of a collection.
